A Smaller Practice, Because Your Child Deserves to Be Known
Choosing the right pediatrician is one of the most important decisions you’ll make as a parent, and we’re so glad you’re considering us.
At Premier Pediatrics in Irvine, California, we’ve built something a little different from the typical pediatric office. We’re small, we’re personal, and we’ve stayed that way on purpose: because we believe the best pediatric care happens when your doctor actually has the time to know your child.
Familiar Faces, Every Single Visit
Bigger isn’t always better, especially in pediatrics. By keeping our practice intentionally small and our team closely connected, we’re able to offer something special: continuity, familiarity, and a level of attention that makes every appointment feel personal.
When you call our office, you’ll talk to someone who knows your family. When you come in for a visit, you’ll see faces you recognize. And when you have a question, you’ll be talking to people who already know your child’s story.
A Team That Feels Like Family
Our team has been together a long time, and that closeness shows up in everything we do. The front desk, our nurses, our medical assistants, our doctors — we work together like a family, and that warmth carries over to the families we care for.
That closeness is no accident. Our team was built around people chosen as much for warmth and personality as for expertise, creating a genuinely happy place to work and visit. And while each of our doctors brings their own style, they share one philosophy of care: compassionate, evidence-based, and consistent. They talk things through and agree on what matters clinically, from vaccines to antibiotics, so no matter which provider you see, your child gets the same thoughtful care.
A Place Children Actually Look Forward To
Here’s what we love hearing most: “My kid actually wants to come see you.” That’s the result of years of working hard to make this an office where children feel comfortable from the moment they walk in. We cultivate an environment where exam rooms feel friendly, where appointments don’t feel rushed, and where every member of our team understands how to talk with kids, not just at them.
Our goal is to not only keep your child healthy, but also to build a relationship that makes healthcare something positive in their life. We want going to the doctor to be something they associate with kindness, trust, and people who genuinely care about them.
Care from Birth Through Young Adulthood
We provide comprehensive pediatric care for patients from infancy up to age 18-20 depending on insurance, including:
- Newborn and infant care
- Well-child checkups at every age and stage
- Vaccinations and immunization counseling
- Sick visits and same-day acute care
- Adolescent and teen care
- Autism evaluations and developmental follow-up care
- Ongoing care for chronic conditions
- Guidance for parents at every milestone, big or small
From the very first newborn visit to the last physical before college, we’re here for every chapter.
And watching that journey unfold is the best part of what we do. There’s real joy in caring for a child from infancy and then, years later, seeing them head off to college and into healthy lives of their own. The small things we do now have a way of leaving a big impact later. And helping parents raise happy, healthy kids isn’t just good for those families. It’s good for our whole community, and the future we all share.
Connected to the Best in Pediatric Care
As part of the Rady Children’s Health Primary Care Network (formerly CHOC), we get to offer something special: the feel of a small, neighborhood practice with direct access to one of the top children’s health systems in the country.
That means when your child needs a specialist, a second opinion, or a higher level of care, the path is already paved. Referrals are smoother, records move seamlessly, and your child’s care team, including specialists, is working from the same playbook.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide quality pediatric healthcare in a warm, welcoming office where every child feels at home. We’re committed to:
- Caring for every child with the attention, patience, and kindness they deserve
- Listening to the families we have the privilege of serving
- Building lasting, trusting relationships that span childhood and adolescence
- Working alongside parents as true partners in their child’s health and wellbeing
- Creating a space where children feel safe, comfortable, and even excited to visit
Meet Our Team
Premier Pediatrics is led by Dr. Anjali Monga, Dr. Marshneil Chavan, and Dr. Lubena Khambaty— a small, dedicated team of pediatricians who share one belief: that great pediatric care is built on relationships.
Anjali Monga, MD
Dr. Monga has been practicing pediatrics in Irvine since 2000, but she began her career in obstetrics and gynecology. She spent seven years as an OB welcoming countless newborns into the world before moving into pediatrics. With her husband a neonatologist and her own daughters growing up, the shift felt like a natural one, and it let her keep following newborns and families well beyond their first days.
Over the years, Dr. Monga has been a very popular and respected pediatrician in the community and has been the recipient of multiple outstanding pediatrician awards from Orange County Medical Association and other peer groups.
Marshneil Chavan, MD
Dr. Chavan completed her residency in Texas and moved to California in 2016, practicing with Kaiser before joining Premier Pediatrics in 2019. She knew during medical school that pediatrics was where she belonged. It was caring for children that made her want to give everything she had, drawn to the chance to help kids start out healthy rather than treating problems only after they’ve taken hold.
She is also growing our developmental services, bringing autism evaluation and ongoing follow-up care in-house so families can get answers quickly, all in one familiar place, without being referred out to another office.
“I focus on each child as a whole and believe in addressing the physical, mental, emotional and social needs of children to help them grow.”
Lubena Khambaty, MD
A California native, Dr. Khambaty completed her residency in Fresno and spent four years practicing in the Bay Area before moving back to Southern California to be closer to family. She chose pediatrics because it’s the one specialty where she gets to be completely herself — a little silly, quick to laugh, and always glad to goof around if it means making a child smile.
“As a mother of two, I bring a personal understanding of the joys and challenges of parenthood. I am passionate about empowering parents, offering guidance on breastfeeding and nutrition, and promoting the well-being of her young patients.”
